- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Awful experience. Drove 45 minutes to this office to purchase replacement license plates, and gave them my ID as required when paying the fee. When I got home, I realized that the lady who had helped me forgot to give me my ID back, and I had also made the mistake of not double checking to ensure it was in my possession. So, I drove another 45 minutes a few days later to get my ID back and waited patiently in line. When I got up to the front and explained the situation to a different woman, I was rudely told that no one had "found any one's ID sorry, nothing I can do." Confounded, I simply left the building. Guess I'll be spending my day stuck at the DMV so I can obtain a new license, thanks Hays County Tax Office.By Sydney Rogers, September 08, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I have previously transferred titles for 3 vehicles from out of state and just today obtained a temporary registration for another vehicle purchased out of state. Even reminded me not forget cell phone I would have left. The staff is excellent, very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.
